Get away from the cruise ship crowds on this Freeport kayak excursion, and kayak around the east end of Grand Bahama at Sweeting's and Deep Water Cay.
You will meet your shore excursion guide outside your Freeport Bahamas cruise ship terminal, where you will be transported by boat to Sweetings Cay. Enjoy the beautiful views of the coastline as you make your way to the east end of the Grand Bahamas. Upon arrival at Sweeting´s Cay, you will be able to see starfish laying in the shallow water.
Once at Sweetings Cay, your guide will provide you with the do's and don'ts of the area, and also how to safely enjoy the areas around you. They will then get you outfitted with your kayak and off you go to explore the mangroves around the area. You will see the turtles in their natural habitat, bobbing their heads up and down out of the water, as if to check out who is paying them a visit. Some might even get close enough to your kayak to take pictures as you give them a bite to eat.
There is no kayaking experience necessary for this adventure shore excursion, making it perfect for everyone - novices, children, and experienced kayakers alike.
After your time exploring the mangroves around the Cays and enjoying your visit with the turtles, you will be treated to lunch at the beach house. Lunch will be rice and peas, potato salad, and crack conch.
As your day comes to an end, your shore excursion guide will take you back to your Freeport cruise ship terminal.
Where we meet
For the Freeport Kayaking & Turtle Park Excursion, you will meet right at your Freeport cruise ship pier terminal, all necessary details will be printed on your electronic shore excursion ticket.
Cancellation
For the Freeport Sweeting's Cay Kayaking and Turtle Park Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
