Discover Dubrovnik on a guided walking and cable car shore excursion! Enjoy a short cable car ride for breathtaking views over the city known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic" and where the popular TV series, Game of Thrones was filmed!
Your English-speaking guide will be waiting just a short distance from your cruise ship pier in Dubrovnik Croatia. They will then take you on a short 15-minute walk to the Cable Car Station. The entrance fee to the Cable Car is included in your excursion price. Sit back, relax and get ready for some stellar views!
Enjoy a brief ride by cable car up Mount Srd. At the summit, enjoy a 360-degree view from more than 1300 feet above sea level over one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful cities. You will have approximately 30 minutes to take photos, see the Imperial Fortress and enjoy the stunning view of the Adriatic and its surroundings.
Upon return to the main station, your excursion guide will lead you by foot to the Old Town for a walking exploration. Throughout the way, your guide will be narrating fascinating information, history, and local stories. The duration of the walking portion is 90 minutes in total.
The famous Croatian center awaits you, encircled by its monumental stone ramparts, which have kept and enhanced Dubrovnik's spirit of Renaissance. As you wind through the labyrinth of short, narrow stone streets, you will see various historical buildings. From the Franciscan monastery and its church, observe a Renaissance-style Sponza Palace the city`s customs house, and St. Blaise, an 18th-century Baroque church built in honor of the city's patron saint. You will be impressed at how many of the buildings have been well preserved despite time and earthquakes.
Marvel at the Gothic-Renaissance Rector's Palace with its museum and the Baroque Dubrovnik Cathedral with its impressive treasury. It will be easy to see why the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Please note there is a moderate amount of walking involved including numerous stone steps/stairs during this shore excursion.
Your shore excursion ends in Old Town where you may either choose to walk back to your ship or catch a taxi depending on which pier your ship is using.
Where we meet
For this Dubrovnik Best of Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide at a convenient location close to your Dubrovnik cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. If your ship does not dock and is at anchor, please allow enough time to tender ashore for your departure.
Cancellation
For the Dubrovnik Cable Car and Walking Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
