Now is your chance to try the exciting new water sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding or SUP. It is easy to learn and very fun for all ages! Enjoy a beach break at Mr. Sanchos Beach Club. This is also a great add-on activity to your Mr. Sanchos All Inclusive Day Pass - see order form.

Glide across the top of the warm, aqua-blue water. Enjoy an introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding also called just SUP. This is a new sport that is growing rapidly in popularity. It is a combination of canoeing, kayaking, and surfing but all the only skill you need is a sense of balance. This activity is best done on flat, smooth water...no waves! You do not need any prior experience to be able to master this quickly...all ages can enjoy it.

You will meet just a short taxi ride from the cruise piers at the famous Mr. Sanchos Beach Club where your SUP instructor will be waiting to get you going. You will start your lesson on the beach with an intro about the equipment (paddle and board), get some tips on posture and balance and then practice out in the shallow water under the guidance of your English-speaking, friendly instructor.

The water off the beach at Mr. Sanchos is perfect! Crystal clear and calm... so you will be up and paddling in no time. If you have anyone in your group that would like to come along and watch from the beach, they are welcome to and there is no charge! There are full beach club facilities for all to enjoy. When your lesson is completed, you may stay at Mr. Sanchos as long as you wish. There is a full-service restaurant and bar available for food and beverage purchases.

There is a swimming pool, lounge chairs, restrooms, showers, beach toys, and more. Other on-site options such as parasailing, ATV, horseback riding, jet skiing, snorkeling, and more at an extra cost. NOTE: You do not need to pay an entrance fee to Mr. Sanchos to do this activity. There is a "pay as you go" side that does not require a fee and is separated from the All-Inclusive side.

Excursion Notes

• Freshwater showers, changing rooms, and restroom facilities are available.
• Full restaurant and bar service as well as other tours, water sports, and services are available at extra cost.
• Lockers are available for rent at a nominal fee.
• While kayaking is great fun, the beauty of SUP (stand-up paddle) is that standing up allows you to enjoy much better views; both of the horizon and down into the water. It's a simpler sport to pursue than kayaking, with less equipment required. It also offers a fantastic core workout, given that you're not stuck in a seated position. It’s really easy to learn!

Where we meet

For the Cozumel Stand Up Paddle Board Introduction at Mr. Sanchos Beach Club you will meet directly at Mr. Sanchos Beach which is a 7-minute taxi ride from the Puerta Maya and the International pier or an 11-minute taxi ride from Punta Langosta downtown pier. There are plenty of taxis available at the cruise terminals as well as at the beach club for your return. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Pregnant guests are not allowed for their own safety on this excursion.
• The minimum participation age is 10 years old.
• Not available on Sundays.
• This Cozumel Stand Up Paddle Board Introduction at Mr. Sanchos Beach Club may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
