Whether you are in town before, during, or after your cruise, or simply spending a day or two in the city, this is one excursion that is not to be missed. This 3.5-hour excursion will be led by an expert guide as you explore this magical city from air, sea, and land. There are typically two departures a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to fit your schedule.
You will meet your guide at a centrally located point. Once checked in, your excursion begins on an electric bike, created by Mercedes Benz, featuring ease, comfort, and safety. You will get fitted and all set before following your guide out to explore and make your way through the city to Montjuic Hill. Haven't ridden a bike in a while? No worries! The bikes do not require much peddling as the electric motor provides an easy-paced ride. Soft on the knees too! You will sightsee along the way to your first destination.
Once you arrive at the cable car station at Montjuic Hill, you will park the bikes and hop in the cable car for a gondola-style ride up the hill. The cable car travels at a slow pace over the 2,467 ft (752 meters) up the hillside and to a height of 277.4 ft (84.55 meters) at the top. From here, you have a great view of the city from the air. Once at the top of the hill, you can stroll around the Olympic Ring, built for the 1992 Summer Games, and Montjuic Castle, a huge fortress that served for many years as a military prison and a symbol of the suppression by the Franco regime. Do not forget your camera!
Next, you will ride down the cable car to the harbor to board a unique boat where you will sail along Barcelona's seashore to the Olympic Harbor and enjoy the skyline of this magnificent city from the water. Sit back, relax, and take in the views.
Once you return to your electric bike you will make your way to the most emblematic sites of famed artists, Gaudi, in Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia Basilica, and Passeig de Gracia. This towering cathedral is visible from just about any spot in Barcelona and the masterpiece is an ongoing work of art that is set to be completed in 2026, 144 years after the start of construction. You will have enough time to get some great photos of the exterior. Gaudi's work has greatly influenced the face of Barcelona's architecture and you will see stunning examples of Gaudi's work all around the city center.
