Come and experience the wonderful island of Aruba on a fun, unique open-air bus! See the best of Aruba including a stop at the beach just for your private group.
You'll meet your private shore excursion guide outside of your Aruba cruise ship port. The open-aired bus has a maximum capacity of 40 guests. You'll experience the natural beauty and sights of Aruba in half a day. The bus is designed for maximum viewing ease and is just a fun way to travel around the island!
Your first excursion stop is at the Aloe Vera Factory and Museum. After this healing plant was introduced to the island in 1840, Aruba became the world's largest aloe exporter with 2/3 of the island covered with this succulent perennial. Have a guided visit to the state-of-the-art factory and visit the museum to learn more about the plant. This museum is a national depository for ancient aloe tools and equipment and the history of its rise to success. Natural aloe products are available to purchase onsite.
The next stop is at the fabled Casibari Rock Formation. This huge cluster of tonalite rocks rises unexpectedly from the desert soil much like Ayers Rock in Australia. This natural wonder makes for an interesting hike through the rocks and, if you choose, to the top for some great photos of the island. The Government of Aruba has made walking trails and stairs for your safety as you make your way through the surreal formation.
You'll make a stop at Sta. Philomena's Church, an imposing yellow structure dominating the skyline in the small community of Paradera. This Catholic church was built in 1948 and towers over the other buildings in the town.
More photo opportunities await you at your next private excursion stop at the Natural Bridge. This natural coral limestone bridge was the remains of an ancient cave, carved out over the years by the pounding surf. The natural arch measured about 25 feet high and 100 feet long but collapsed in 2005. But there is Baby Bridge, a smaller version just next to where the original bridge stood. Created the same way by the surf and just as impressive with Mother Nature as the architect!
Your stop at the California Lighthouse, built on the rocky terrain on the northwestern tip of the island near Arashi Beach, allows you amazing views and photogenic scenery. The stone lighthouse was completed in 1916 and is named after the wooden sailing steamship "SS California" which was wrecked close by in 1891. The lighthouse was completely restored in 2016 to correspond with its 100th anniversary. Surrounding the rocky area are acres of white sand dunes that are popular with "dune surfers".
Your last stop is at Eagle Beach where you'll have approximately 1.5 hours to enjoy the sand and sea. This beach is home to smaller boutique and time-share resorts. It has been rated one of the best beaches in the world with its seemingly endless stretch of soft white sand. Enjoy a swim, sunbathe, or food and drinks you can purchase at one of many refreshments stands. Bring your towel to spread out and relax in the sand. Chairs and umbrellas may be available to rent at the beach.
After your Aruba private shore excursion day seeing the wonderful sights of the island, you'll be taken back to your Aruba cruise ship terminal.
Discover the must-see of Aruba on this fun Private Open Air Bus Sightseeing and Beach Break Excursion. You'll see from the popular Natural Bridge to the Aloe Fields and Factory! And your day won't be complete without a stop at Eagle Beach too.
