When you get to the stables, your friendly Jamaica horseback riding guide will match you up with one of the 30 horses according to your riding abilities. Then the guide will lead the group down the countryside trails and scenic farmlands. You will get both entertaining and informational facts, stories, and interesting stories about Jamaica.
The paths and trails will lead you to a beautiful private beach area. This is where the legendary swimming horse ride takes place. If you want, you may join the guides for a bareback horse ride into the water where the horses will swim with you onboard! There will be time to relax, enjoy the gorgeous white sandy beach and take in the picture-perfect setting.
Your next stop is the iconic Dunn's River Waterfalls. The falls are one of the national treasures of Jamaica that thousands come to visit each year. When you arrive, you will get to join in the fun and climb up the falls! Just like a salmon, your experienced river falls guide will lead your group like a human chain on the climb to the top. You can pause along the way in one of the many calm pools for a water massage as it cascades over the rocks. The views of the ocean are incredible. You can also just wait at the bottom, relax in the cool water and watch the others go up.
The transportation will take you back to your Ocho Rios cruise ship pier at the end of your adventurous day.
