You will enjoy comfortable transportation and a fun boat ride, and visit three separate locations, each one offering something different from the next - the famous Stingray City, Coral Gardens, and Starfish Point. All snorkeling gear is included and you will be picked up and dropped back off at your cruise ship tender pier.

The excursion begins at your Grand Cayman cruise ship tender pier where you will find your guide waiting to check you in and get you on board a comfortable, air-conditioned, shuttle bus. You will enjoy a 15-minute drive to the Safe Haven Yacht Club where you will be welcomed onboard by the English-speaking crew. You will have lots of room to get comfortable on the 48 ft boat and then head out to the exciting Stingray City just a short 25-minute boat ride away.

At Stingray City you can stand on a shallow sandbar and find yourself being introduced to a friendly Southern Ray. Your guide will instruct everyone on the do's and don'ts with the rays. Then they will help you into the water. Although large, there is nothing to be concerned about, they have become accustomed to people and are quite friendly. Don't be surprised if you get a little hug as you are shown how to feed them by your guide who will be with you in the water at all times. You may choose to snorkel over the rays if you wish as well. All snorkel gear is provided onboard including masks, snorkels, fins as well and snorkel vests for those who wish to use one. The crew will show you how to use it all. Once your fun with the rays is completed, the crew will help you back on board.

Next, you will go off to Coral Gardens where the water is only about 10 feet deep (3 meters). The crew will help you into the water for another unique experience. Snorkel over top of colorful coral that is home to a wide variety of tropical fish. With crystal clear water that remains warm, you are sure to enjoy all the sights. Your guide will make sure to point out anything of particular interest so you won't miss anything. Note: you will not be able to touch the bottom, stand on, or touch the coral reef.

Finally, you will hop back on board for the quick 15-minute ride to Starfish Point. Known for its crystal clear waters, you can see the starfish that populate this area. Marvel at their delicacy and their incredible details. Calm waters with lots of sun are what draw the starfish to the point. At each stop, you will have approximately 45 minutes of snorkeling and fun in the water.

Once your time comes to an end, you will be brought back to your Grand Cayman cruise ship tender pier.

This was such a great tour! We had an amazing time on this excursion. We had about 15-20 people on our boat and we really had an opportunity really experience every stop. On the way over to the boat dock, our driver showed us the various areas and answered any questions that anyone had. We had one person in our group that was not a swimmer, and made sure to let us know which stops would be good for those who can/can't swim. We were able to go out and snorkel if that is something that you chose to do. If you wanted a lifejacket to snorkel, they made sure that one was available for you. Also, they helped you in/out of the boat and made sure that you were comfortable. We had chance to see some beautiful marine life while on our excursion. When we got out to Stingray City, we saw this boat that was PACKED with people and Captain Jake said that is all of the people from the cruise ship. They were crammed in on the boat. Our time in port was shortened, but they knew what time we had to be back to port and made sure that we had a great time without making it feel rushed. I would do this tour again if cruise to Grand Cayman again! Captain Jake and his crew were amazing!

This was my first time using SE and will be my last. First, finding the meeting place was not easy. It was very confusing to find the tent. Secondly, we did not get even close to 45 minutes at each stop. We did arrive back to the meeting area about 30 minutes before had to be back but there were four men on our excursion that missed their last shuttle because they didn't get them back in time. Not sure how that all worked out. I will book only Carnival excursions in the future. I will not take the chance and book with SE again.

Starfish area was amazing!! Snorkeling was spectacular!! Unfortunately, this trip the tide was too high and swimming with stingrays was impossible because everyone was tossed around in the water, which to be fair was not in their control and the time we visited prior was enjoyable. If not for the high tide problem i'd give it a 5 star instead of the 4.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. The Stingray Encounter sounds a little hokey but it was amazing. These huge stingrays were all around us. Our guides had squid bait to attract and feed them. We each had the opportunity to have pictures taken with the stingrays which we purchased and later downloaded. Lot's of other tourists but we didn't feel pressured or rushed. The guide took time with each of us who wanted to engage with the stingrays. Really fun. The boat itself was good and the guides friendly. The Coral Gardens snorkling was ok. Not too many starfish at Starfish City but we found them and enjoyed the visit. Overall it was a good tour and for what the guides could control was great. We would go again.

We booked this excursion during a cruise to Grand Cayman. This was our favorite thing we did during our whole trip. Due to getting off late because of issues with our boat we were 9 minutes late with this excursion company. The lady that we met with off the pier hurry and drove us herself to meet up with the rest of the group. That already showed us their commitment to us having fun. The water was a little choppy and rough on the day we went which did deter some from getting in the water, but not us and it was awesome! The snorkeling was a perfect spot for us beginners. We saw tons of fish and the coral was amazing. Our next spot was the Stingray city. There are not words to describe how amazing this part was. The water is so warm, so blue. The stingrays were everywhere. Again the water was a little rough due to wind but we still had so much fun touching and holding the stingrays. The excursion directors were so great to helped us have all the experience we wanted with these animals. They used our cameras and took pictures and they got some great shots with their cameras as well, which we purchased. We got about 20-30 pictures for $35 that they emailed to us. Our last stop was to starfish point. The water was a little murky but we still managed to find several starfish. It also had a nice little beach that we enjoyed too. We were at each stop for about 30-45 minutes. It was the perfect amount of time at each place. The excursion crew had drinks in a cooler for us, and they were so friendly and helpful. At one point our 6 year old was in tears because she got frustrated with the snorkeling and they gave her a huge sea shell that became her greatest treasure from our whole cruise. We made memories that will last a lifetime for our little family.

We had such a wonderful trip. Due to wind we ended up docking on the other side of the island. Our guide met us as soon as we got off the ship. With so many from our ship having excursions it was so nice that our wasn't and our transportation was right there waiting for up! Our captain was great, even jumped in at the coral gardens and fed some of the fish so we could experience even more fish. The stingrays were great!!! Our trip was so good.

I took 4 teenagers on this excursion. They had a blast. We have done snorkeling trips in the past and they put this one in the top 3. This excursion has 3 different stops. The sandbar with the stingrays was 100% interactive and a huge hit. The crew was incredibly informative and pleasant! Also, a plus is that the price is very good for all you get!

first of all, Captain Manny and Mr. Winston was great, Mr. Winston even gave us some feedback on the island life( ask about the chickens) very eco friendly. it takes a decent swimmer for the snorkel, Mr. Winston advised us to put the life vest under our arms and then you can just float and watch. the stingrays where awesome, bring an under water camera( i had some great videos of the stingrays just floating by) only bad part was when we unloaded from the excursion, our bus got full from other cruisers not wanting to finish out there excursion( turtle farm) and our bus was full. Couple of phone calls and we had a driver and a bus to ourselves, just 6 of us. DO NOT FEED THE STINGRAYS WITH YOUR THUMB POINTING UP OR WITH YOUR FINGER TIPS, DO AS THEY TELL YOU TOO. This is what we did for New Years 2019

Nightmare crowd scene - not worth it

Weather was not very cooperative. When we stopped at Coral Gardens I overestimated my ability and had to be rescued (not their fault), but they did a good job. The stop at the Stingray Encounter was a mob scene. Approximately 30 to 40 boats backed up on the sand bar. The guides were manhandling the stingrays for people to pet and feed. I am short and kept getting run over by the thousand or so people who were crowded in this space. In all fairness, I did talk to some people who had done it before and enjoyed. There were five big cruise ships in port this day. At the Starfish point there were a couple of starfish. Should have done a reality check on this one. We were met where we were told. Bus was crowded, but air conditioned. Boat was full, but comfortable and clean. Captain and crew were alert (rescued met) and friendly.

This excursion was top notch and by far a crowd favorite. Although, it was a little difficult locating the meeting place, locals were extremely helpful! The directions stated to look for an employee in a navy suit, the employee was in regular clothes, which caused confusion. Once on our way, we truly enjoyed snorkeling on the reef. The captain of our ship was top notch and made sure we had a great time! He took great care of all of the passengers and was wonderful with our children. Stingray City was amazing and we were able to hold, kiss and take photos with a stingray. We were then off to Starfish Point where we enjoyed waist deep water and found many many starfish to hold and play with. By far our favorite excursion!

The meeting point was easy to locate, driver was informative on the way to the marina, and the guides on the boat, Manny and Winston, were awesome. They were informative, played island music during the trip which set the mood and Winston, Winston handed out the snorkeling gear and he walked about the catamaran studying everyone's feet. It amazed us that he could look and correctly guess everyone's fin sizes! They did an awesome job at stringray city and took pictures with our camera's as well as theirs (the picture prices were reasonable). Snorkeling was so much fun and seeing the starfish was neat. Very well organized, we had a wonderful time on this excursion!

This excursion was amazing! The ride from the port to the boat was a drag since we had to stop at different resorts to pick up other guest. Our boat captain and deck hand were super nice and helpful. Equipment was very clean and like new, boat was in great condition and very comfortable. We loved snorkeling the reef, saw lots of fish, some sting rays and tons of pretty coral. The rays were very neat, it was a wonderful experience. The photographer was super sweet but I thought the prices were a little high. Overall super great time!

Just heading home from the cruise and wanted to give a shout out to Captain Stan and his crew. We had a great day in Grand Cayman. My 11 year old and 17 year old had a great time snorkeling and swimming with the stingray. Thanks for the great ride and all of the info about the island. Also, thanks for the tip to eat at paradise restaurant. A beautiful spot to stop at on the way back to the boat.

This is a great excursion. We were suppose to meet around noon. But the tenders for our ship were going really slow. We were 45 minutes late party of 8 but no fear they waited for us. We hopped a van and headed to the dock. Got on our boat and headed to Coral Gardens. Saw tons of fish plus 2 stingrays. It was a great time. Our guides were great and very entertaining. Next stop Stingray City. We have been there a few times and this did not disappoint. Tons of rays swimming around. When it came time to feed them they were all over. It was great. Next stop Starfish Island. There were live Starfish all over. I definitely recommend this excursion. A lot of people on this excursion did not tip and these 2 guys really deserved it. So if the guides do a great job please tip them, they deserve it.

Unfortunately, the waters were rough on the day we went, but it was still so much fun! The guides were nice and patient, the stingrays were awesome, and overall we loved the experience. The only reason I didn't give the excursion a 5, is because they didn't give us any snorkeling instruction. They just handed us a mask and fins and told us to jump in.
