You will visit one of the top ten snorkel and dive sites and an incredible historic site in Curacao.
Meet your English-speaking guide at the cruise terminal and take a 25-minute ride on board an open-air vehicle along the scenic coast of Curacao Island.
On arrival at your snorkel site, you will be fitted comfortably with your snorkel equipment. Your experienced snorkel guide will cover some safety points as well as give tips on how to get the most out of your excursion.
Once you are set, you will follow your guide into the water and prepare to explore the wonderful underwater world. Beginning with an impressive shallow drop-off reef, you will see colorful coral formations and tropical fish, relax in the calm waters or float with the wave movement. Keep watch for sea turtles gliding through the water!
Continue on to the site of the "Tugboat" wreck – a 30ft long boat that sits 17ft upright on the bottom of the ocean. With over 30 years sunken on the bottom, you will see the coral-encrusted wreck along with numerous marine life living on it such as Christmas Tree Worms. Snorkel over it or hold your breath and swim down to get a closer look. Be sure to bring your waterproof camera as many fish visit the wreck hoping to get a handout snack from snorkelers. No previous experience is required to snorkel due to the shallow and calm waters. Bottled water and lemonade are included.
Once dry again, you will get back in your transportation and head to the historic site of Fort Beekenburg, built-in 1703. Located at Caracasbaai Beach, the fort was used to protect the island from pirates and enemy nations, you can climb all the way to the top of the tower. The stones, from which the towers are made out of, were originally shipped from the Netherlands to Curacao. Enjoy the amazing views over the island!
The transportation and guide will return to your Curacao cruise terminal.
Where we meet
For this Curacao excursion, you will meet at the cruise ship terminal. All necessary information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Curacao Tugboat, Reef Snorkel and Safari Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
