We have the perfect excursion for everyone who loves to swim, and is also a great introduction to SCUBA Diving! This is a fun and safe activity that is so easy even those as young as 6 years old may participate! SNUBA is just like real SCUBA diving, but the heavy air tanks float on the surface instead of being strapped to your back. No prior diving experience or training is needed; you just need to have basic swimming skills. Make sure to bring your waterproof camera!

For this SNUBA adventure, you simply take any taxis available outside your cruise ship port. It's a short 5-minute drive to the SNUBA site, located between the cruise ship piers, where your certified PADI dive master will be waiting for you. You will store your belongings and be given a safety briefing. This is a personalized experience with 3 or 4 participants per dive master. Please note that guests are not allowed to wear sunscreen in the water to help protect the reef from damaging chemicals.

First, you will practice with the equipment in the shallow water just off the beach. Once your group is ready, the dive instructor will lead you further into the water and the fun begins! You will explore the beauty of the coral reef and marine life of Cozumel. The dive master will be by your side and point out some of the interesting sights and assist you along the way. Your maximum depth will be only 20 feet and you may surface at any time if needed.

For ages 6 and 7, you can participate in SNUBA Doo. Children will have their own instructor and stay at the surface. If there is anyone traveling with you that would like to just come along and watch, they are welcome to watch from the shore at no charge.

Each SNUBA session is 30 minutes and when the dive is completed, the guide will lead you back to the beach area. You are welcome to stay at the small beach club for as long as you wish and use all of the facilities including lounge chairs, beach tables, chairs, restrooms, and showers. You also get unlimited use of their snorkel gear, 3 stand up paddleboards (SUP) as well as the full-service restaurant where you may purchase food and drinks.

Whenever you are ready to head back to your ship, you can simply ask the staff to call you a cab, or go outside the club and hop on one of the many taxis available that will take you back to your Cozumel cruise ship terminal.

• Please download and print the following SNUBA® Diving Participant Record (PDF document) and complete prior to participation. It is required that you bring this completed form and any other required notes or paperwork.
• Please pay attention to restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if requirements are not met.
• Minimum participation age is 6 years old - children ages 6 and 7 will do a modified Snuba Doo program with the group.
  
• Ages 8 and up will do the Snuba Diving program.
  
• We suggest you wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, sun protection, cash for food/beverages, tips, etc.
  
• Time under the water is approximately 25-30 minutes.
  
• For people who do not participate, there is a beach bar and restaurant available to enjoy and watch the excursion from shore.
  
• The is a maximum of 24 guests per departure. We can accommodate larger groups, contact us.
  
• Lockers are available for $2.00 USD.
  
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For this Cozumel Snuba Diving Excursion, you will meet just a short distance from your pier. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Guests should have basic swimming skills and comfortable in the water.
• All guests must complete and pass an extensive medical waiver.
• There are restrictions for guests with heart issues, epilepsy, and other medical conditions.
• Pregnant guests may not participate.
• Please note that guests are not allowed to wear sunscreen in the water to help protect the reef from damaging chemicals.
• This Cozumel SNUBA Diving Excursion and Shore Snorkeling Adventure may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
