Your adventure begins near Barcelona Cathedral, where you will meet your passionate, professional guide for this premium small group experience. With a maximum of just 15 participants, you will have a very personalized experience. You will walk over to the Church of Sant Felip Neri, tucked away in a hidden corner of the Gothic Quarter and continue to Plaça de Sant Jaume to see the imposing government buildings of the Town Hall and Palace of the Generalitat of Catalonia. You will then wander into the old Jewish Quarter, to see the picturesque church of Santa Maria del Pi followed by a promenade down the tree-lined Ramblas, passing Placa del Rei and La Boqueria market on the way to Port Vell.
Here you will board a Turkish Goleta and set sail along the coast for panoramic views of the city's skyline and the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Upon docking, you will marvel at the monument to Christopher Columbus pointing to the Americas, as you transfer by van to the heliport.
You will glide up into the sky by helicopter, and enjoy indescribable views of Port Vell, Barceloneta, Olympic Port, and Olympic Village on this thrilling adventure. (Please note: The maximum weight allowed per passenger is 110kg or 242 lbs. If you are in excess, you'll be asked to pay for two seats upon arrival at the heliport). After the flight you will return to the starting point by foot, where you can enjoy the afternoon; free to have a lunch (at own expense), explore the City, or do some shopping before coming back, ready to discover the greatness and mysteries of Barcelona under a different light.
The upper part of Passeig de Graci is the perfect starting point to walk and admire Barcelona's finest modernist buildings, scattered along the avenue. Learn the history of the city from a professional, passionate, bilingual guide while strolling around La Pedrera, Casa Batllo or Casa Amatller. Your open-top luxury minibus awaits to present an ideal opportunity to be raptured in the warm Mediterranean breeze. While riding, relish the history of the landmarks along the way along with the many secrets that Barcelona keeps to itself. Traveling along the seafront, you will come across the Columbus Monument (located at the end of La Rambla and dating back to 1888, the year of the Universal Exhibition).
A ride up Montjuic Hill provides a glimpse at the nocturnal illumination of the city, an intriguing touch worth discovering! You will want to have your camera ready to capture memories of a lifetime. On the way down, you will stop at the Magical Fountain where you will have time off the bus to enjoy the outstanding show; a spectacle that combines color, light, motion, music and water acrobatics into a unique and emotional performance.
Your final stop is the Ciutat Vella, the popular Old City of Barcelona. Here you can stroll along narrow streets and enjoy a cocktail in an exclusive sky bar with astounding 360-degree panoramic views of the city—the perfect ending to a perfect night time ride! Following your excursion, you may continue to explore or return to your Barcelona hotel or cruise ship at your leisure and own expense.
